I was looking on the internet one day at pottery and ran across Emerson Creek Pottery. I looked at their website and contacted them and was so excited that they allowed me to do a review on their products. Emerson Creek Pottery is located in the beautiful Blue RidgeMountains of Virginia not too far from where I live. It is owned and operated by Priscilla Palmer and Jim Leavitt and was founded in 1977. Emerson Creek Pottery has many items from vases to full dining sets. There are coffee mugs, dinnerware, kitchenware, and bake-ware to teapots and tea sets. All of their pottery is handmade and fired in a gas kiln. All of their painting is done by hand so every piece is similar but different. There are 13 different patterns including iris, dragonfly’s, blueberries, pinecones and so many more. I sat down to pick out my piece for review and had such a hard time because there are so many items that I want. I ended up choosing a sugar jar in the iris pattern because I did not have one that I would proudly display at all times.
The sugar jar I received is truly a work of art. It is just the right size and the pattern is so pretty. I really encourage you to take a few minutes and look around the website because there is something for everyone. Emerson Creek Pottery would make a great Christmas gift!! I can tell you I will be going back very soon to purchase the teapot to match my sugar jar. Overall I give this wonderful pottery and its creators a HUGE five stars, the quality and beauty is perfection!!
Emerson Creek Pottery has agreed to give one lucky fan a sugar jar of their own in the pattern that they choose.
