I customized my TV package thanks to Verizon FiOS®, as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #CustomTV

How to Host a Kids Movie Theme PartyMany memories can be made through get togethers and parties. This week my children asked me to throw them a Movie Themed party for them and I delivered. They wanted to celebrate watching some of their favorite shows that are featured under the Kids Movie Package with Verizon FiOS® #CustomTV. I was able to achieve a spectacular party by just visiting my local Dollar Tree and Party Stores for props and decorations.

I did my best to make my living room a mini movie theater featuring candy boxes and other inexpensive props, that give you the experience you get from the theater but without the cost. I also featured reusable kids cups that you can find in any retail store for $1 or less. These doubled as popcorn holders and souvenirs for the kids to take home. For a more rounded treat, there were pigs in a blanket, which I made from rolling hotdogs into Pillsbury Crescent Rolls.

The kids loved their soda and so did the parents, so we featured a few choices the kids and adults could agree on. I also found some super cute Mickey Mouse Clubhouse straws that the little kids were able to use with their sodas. Cupcakes seem like a must have at parties so a light vanilla cupcake with a yellow vanilla frosting was perfect. Extra popcorn was available for those who needed a refill. After all of the snacks and food were consumed and the movie was over, the kids had a ball whacking a Disney Themed Pinata in the backyard.

verizon fiosDid you know Verizon FiOS® now has a new feature called #CustomTV? If your tired of paying for channels you never use this package is for you! In my house we normally don’t venture out of the kids channels or the Food Network, so we use the LifeStyle and Kids channel packs. We have been long time customers of Verizon since they have such good prices and features making any package we want to get affordable. Right now new and existing customers can take advantage of this awesome new feature, choose 2 packages and enjoy one price!verizon fios2Would you like to learn more about this awesome NEW way to turn your service into a #CustomTV head over to Verizon’s Website for more information on how you can save money!

What a cute movie night! Dollar Tree has great decorations for parties. I haven’t really checked out the TV offer, but it could be great for choosing the channels you watch.

Such cute times – and loving that pinata – we used to have them when I was little, my own son had a few and they’re still great for parties – the whole set up for a movie party is great!

You totally pulled this theme off very well. As my son gets older I struggle with themes that are still “cool” for his age group. This is an excellent one, it never goes out of style.
