- 1 oz Absinthe
- 1 oz Bourbon Whiskey
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes of Orange Angostura Bitters
- Orange Slices
- Ice Cubes
- 1 oz Maraschino Cherry Liqueur or Juice (optional)
- Into a cocktail shaker add absinthe, bourbon whiskey, sweet vermouth, orange bitters, and ice.
- Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Strain into a standard rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
- Rub orange peels around the rim of the glass.
- Garnish with orange peel or slices of orange.
- Serve.
