Get ready to adventure back into LEGO® World, it’s full of familiar characters and tons of new stories. This story centered around LEGO® Batman and his nemesis LEGO® Joker, the movie starts off with a bang leaving everyone from my 3-year-old to myself glued to the screen. It’s no shock that LEGO® Batman is up to his normal superhero job, saving the world one bad guy at a time. In this movie, we saw what it’s really like for Batman and also how he met Robin, his son. Yeah, you read that right his son. I won’t spoil it for you though you must watch the movie and see for yourself what I’m talking about.

Some information about the LEGO Batman Movie:

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman (Will Arnett) – stars in his own big-screen adventure.  But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Mom’s Review

Overall I thought it was a great movie for kids and to my surprise the many adults who sat in the theater with their kids as well. The jokes were hilarious and even though it seems like some were a little too grown up for the smaller ones, the funny things the characters did in the movie kept my little one interested.

I was speaking with a very close friend of mine whom I played LEGO’s with as a child. I told her the movie reminded me of when we used to play and how we used to kid around and make things happen in our little worlds. Granted we would build little houses and play house, whereas the LEGO batman movie was all about action and crime fighting. I told her it felt like the movie was as if I was watching my boys play with their LEGO’s and I loved that aspect of it.

The cute scenes (yeah I said cute) when the bad guys and even the good guys would shoot their little LEGO guns and say “pew pew”. I couldn’t help but chuckle as if I was watching my boys play and they were making a gazillion “pew pew” sounds delivering endless rounds of their laser guns. I thought the movie overall was great and my kids laughed the entire time.

The Kids Review

Keturah (8 Year’s old)

I think it was really funny and really creative. I like how they made it because it sounded like kid’s were making it. It was awesome how Robin was the only kid in it as well.

Malik (10 Year’s old)

It was really funny and I liked the character’s, and I like how Batman says really funny stuff. It was a really good plot.

Anthony (11 Year’s old)

It was good, it was terrific. I liked how the movie is full of comedy and I like how they added the 1960’s Batman in it. I also like how they made Joker’s teeth look really sharp.

Head over to your nearest AMC IMAX Theater and catch this Awesome movie in theaters everywhere! Have you already seen the LEGO Batman movie? Are you excited about taking your family to see it? Let us know and leave a comment below.
