Spring is officially here and it’s time to dust off the ol’ picnic basket and grab a blanket. Plus, if you’re looking to put a modern twist on a classic chicken salad, try adding Sepo Sauce by Seponifiq to the mix! A concoction of gluten-free, garlicky goodness with a hint of grated horseradish, Sepo Sauce puts ranch dressing and other condiments to shame in terms of flavor, texture and versatility. This no cook, picnic-perfect recipe will add a pinch of pizazz to any meal.
-¾ cup mayonnaise
-1 tbsp Sepo Sauce
-1 tsp granulated sugar
-½ tsp kosher salt
-½ tsp pepper
-2 tsp lemon juice
-1½ cup diced chicken
-1 stalk celery, cut into ¼-inch pieces
-2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
-½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
-½ cup halved, seedless grapes
Mix the chicken, celery, green onions, nuts, and grapes in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Sepo Sauce, sugar, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Once well mixed, layer and blend the sauce into the bowl with chicken until all ingredients are coated. Refrigerate until cold.
