This moment comes once a year, but yet we spend many weeks and days preparing for it. Some of us prepare during the summer and others more towards the holiday season. Yes I’m talking about Christmas! WOOHOO! Something about Christmas tends to bring out the kid in us adults. Mostly because it’s that one time of the year where love and happiness is shared within traditions and within our hearts where memories of our holidays shine bright.
One of the most enjoyable part of the holidays is when you finally get to put up your Christmas tree for Santa to place his presents under. It’s not a simple act to do since the tree itself is split into many parts and takes a while to remember how to put it together. Once it’s finally up, the kids always scramble to decorate the tree and make it new and their own for another year.
One of my fondest memories that I share with my family is that Santa’ always enjoys Milk and Cookies when he drops of presents on Christmas morning. We tend to get a little bit to excited each year and just barely have enough left to give him OOPS LOL! This year we thought we might do something different for santa and leave him his very own Latte. Also let;s throw in his very own Snowflake Cookies to dip in it. You know cause santa sometimes needs a pick me up so he can keep on delivering those toys. What better way to give him that pick me up than to give him a caffeinated drink.
To make Santa’s Milk and Cookies Latte we had to find the perfect ingredient to bring out not only the spirit of Christmas in his drink, but that delicious Cookie flavor we are looking for. I found our secret ingredient in our local Walmart in the Dairy aisle. In the Creamer Section we found the International Delight Frosted Sugar Cookie Creamer. The Frosted Sugar Cookie has the sweet taste of home in a rich, creamy swirl inspired by cookies and frosting. Perfect! Along with some 2% Milk and other necessities we headed home to prepare for Santa’s arrival.
Santa won’t be the only one enjoying this latte during the holiday season. This mom will be having her morning coffee with this recipe and will definitely be sharing it with her friends and family during visits and parties. There’s something about drinking a holiday creamer in your coffee that helps bring out the spirit of Christmas in you when your getting your day started.

- (Please note this is a guideline and can be cut in half or doubled for your normal latte cup size.)
- 1 Cup of 2% Milk
- ½ Cup of International Delight Frosted Cookie Creamer
- 6 oz's of Very Strong Coffee Or Espresso
- 1 Mason Jar
- Cookie Mix:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon International Delight Frosted Cookie Creamer
- (Optional) Powdered sugar, for rolling out dough
- 1 Snowflake Cookie Cutter
- Brew 6 oz's of strong coffee or espresso and then set aside in the cup you wish to drink your latte out of.
- In a Medium size Mason Jar poor 1 cup of 2% milk and ½ Cup of International Delight Frosted Cookie Creamer. Tightly fasten the lid on the jar and then shake for 1-2 Minutes (or until you see there is bubbles forming at the top of the jar. Remove lid and then microwave for 40 seconds.
- Insert lid back on the jar and then shake for another 1-2 minutes, and then remove the lid and insert the jar back into the microwave for another 30 seconds. Remove jar from the microwave. Use a spoon to stop the foam from falling into your latte cup with the already brewed strong coffee or espresso you set aside earlier. Once all of the liquid milk has fallen in the latte cup, scoop out the foam onto the top of the cup. Sprinkle your latte with cinnamon or whatever flavor you wish to top it with. Serve with warm snowflake cookies.
- Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Place butter and sugar in large bowl of electric stand mixer (or just use a large bowl and hand mixer) and beat until light in color.
- Add egg and milk and beat to combine.
- Put mixer on low speed, gradually add flour, and beat until mixture pulls away from the side of the bowl. Since I used a hand mixer I just beat the mixture until it was completely combined and then used my hands to press the dough together.
- Divide the dough in half, wrap in waxed paper, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Sprinkle surface where you will roll out dough with powdered sugar. Remove 1 wrapped pack of dough from refrigerator at a time, sprinkle rolling pin with powdered sugar, and roll out dough to ¼-inch thick. Move the dough around and check underneath frequently to make sure it is not sticking.
- Cut into desired shape, place at least 1-inch apart on greased baking sheet, parchment, or silicone baking mat, and bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are just beginning to turn brown around the edges, rotating cookie sheet halfway through baking time. Let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes after removal from oven and then move to complete cooling on wire rack.
- Serve warm on the side of Santa's Milk and Cookies Latte.
