One of the timeless questions kids ask is “what if we walked with dinosaurs?”. As a mom I have to always give a cautious answer, to help keep their imaginations blooming yet try to explain to them we would hate to get stepped on by a T-Rex. Since we can’t really walk with dinosaurs, Disney and Pixar has delivered an inspiring and moving movie about what life would be like if the asteroid that ended dinosaurs millions of years ago, missed.
My family and I took a trip and watched this inspiring movie. I’m one of those mom’s/people who always like to see NEW and DIFFERENT movies. So whenever I can watch a movie where I’m not able to predict the next scene is always a breath of fresh air for me. The commercials do not do this movie justice and actually leave room for us viewers to be surprised and enjoy every moment of the film.
If you haven’t already here is a quick recap of The Good Dinosaur. “The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? FULL TRAILER BELOW!
Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of. Directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream (“Cars 2”), Disney•Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur”
My take on this movie, I promise I won’t spoil it for u! I’ll try to say my peace without giving away to much info. Arlo has a family like many of us do, and they are living their lives in a western way. As always everyone has their own way of doing things, and dinosaurs are no exception. “Making Your Mark” is a big thing and Arlo is set on proving he is just as smart and strong as his other family members.
Doing this leads Arlo to meet an unexpected friend which did not start out that way. Arlo goes through a difficult time as you can see in the trailer where he loses his father. We will watch as Arlo find’s his self and his own happiness as he makes his way back home with his new “friend”. Conquering fears and learning new and exciting things about the world and his self. Arlo becomes courageous and strong.
Not even a group of T-Rex’s scare Arlo. I really fell in love with the relationship Spot (Arlo’s human) and Arlo developed. It was so heart warming and very funny might I add! I think the entire theather was in giggles for at least 2/3’s of the movie. Loving this movie and can’t wait till it comes out on DVD so I can snag it up and keep it forever!
