The Grinch Smoothie Recipe
In a traditional sense The Grinch has always been viewed as the thief who sneaks into the Who’s homes to steal their beloved Christmas presents and in essence the spirit of Christmas. How about we let the Grinch steal all of the naughty things we will eat this season by whipping up this refreshing and delicious smoothie. It is filled with Vitamin C, Fiber, Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese and so much more! Lets just say this is an awesome combination of flavors and nutrition.
I don’t know about you but I would LOVE for the Grinch to steal my unwanted gift bags (love handles as some call them). The great thing about this recipe is you can use it all year round! Make this smoothie in the morning for an extra boost of energy! Drink it after a meal as a desert substitute. Before drinking these smoothies I was a coffee addict, YES I said it a coffee addict!! By drinking a cup of this in the morning and once at night I’ve been able to fight off my addiction effectively cutting my coffee consumption down to 1 cup a day or no cups a day! I swear by this recipe when saying it gives you a BIG BOOST OF ENERGY!
Ingredients:
2 Bananas
– 1 oz spinach or kale
-1/2 an apple
– 1 1/2 cups of Coconut Juice
– 1 cup of ice
Pack into the blender in this order, spinach, bananas, apples, ice and then pour the coconut water on top. Add more ice or coconut juice to your liking when you are looking for the constancy of which you want to drink your smoothie.
I like mine thick and chunky so I wont blend this for very long. I also DO NOT peel my apples as it would LOSE Nutritional value by removing it. If you don’t mind the peel this is perfect for you!! I always think HEALTHY is better then how my mouth feels when the food arrives in my mouth. Plus its a fruit you can’t go wrong when its fruit!
