Last week, my girls and I along with my bestie traveled to Washington D.C. and saw our very first Ice Skating Shows ever. It wasn’t just any show either, it was the Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big Show! Yes, you read that right, we attended the Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big Show! It was such a beautiful and fun show I cannot wait to tell you all about it.
If you have never been to a Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big Show then you are in for a treat! This being our first show we had no idea what to expect, except for the examples and video’s they provided us with. It was truly a fun experience that we hope to repeat in the very near future. Like most mom’s I am a Disney Fanatic, I know all my Disney princesses/villains/etc and the movies they play in. I’m very good at spotting all of the princess’s and even singing their iconic songs that let’s face it everyone loves.

When I found out we would be attending the Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big Show I could not wait to tell my girls. Once we got to the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. we were ushered into the huge circular hall where there were booths everywhere selling everything from Light up Wands to Disney On Ice shirts. My girls picked their favorite wands and then we were off to our seats, might I add our seats were amazing.
During the show, the princesses and characters stop right in front of you and wave hello. My girls loved that and waved hello to every single princess they could see. There were two places they would stop and wave at giving each side of the crowd an up-close look at their favorite characters. I felt like we were in the show with them and it was so awesome to be able to sing along to our favorite songs. Our favorite songs paired with highly skilled and beautiful/handsome skaters equals a breathtaking show that my girls cannot stop talking about.
Mom’s Thoughts
I absolutely loved the show, it featured all of the princess’s I grew up with and even had some villains whom we love to hate. I’m a die hard figure skating loving type of person who catches the Olympics to see the new routines each country performs. It’s a love of the art of skating that still rings true to this day when I saw the performers doing all of their beautiful spins and flips I couldn’t help but be in Awe. I will add after the show was over I had two little figure skaters who “skated” all the way home. I highly recommend any family sees this show and that you bring the kid in you as well.

I think the best part for me was when I got to see all of the princesses one by one and got to sing along with each of their iconic songs. Even though my girls didn’t know every word of each song I was definitely there to fill in those blanks for them.
Tip: To make the show, even more, fun, quick the little ones on who they think is coming out next and also what movie they starred in once they see the princesses. My girls loved guessing who was who before the princess’s made their appearances.
The Girl’s Thoughts
It was so much fun, I loved seeing the princess’s and the songs were great.! IT was really really good and I want to see it again. I liked whe Tinkerbell was spinning around and when all of the princesses and prince’s acted out apart of the movie’s. As well as how with Frozen Ana and Elsa changed their costumes when they went into and out of the tree. Best Show Ever!

My Besties Thoughts
I really enjoyed this show, I really felt like the first half of the show was a blast from the past. The second half of the show stole the audience and was very upbeat I loved it. I thought i was reallly neat how with our seats you felt like you were able to really enjoy the show and you were able to expierence everything going on up close.

I totally recommend that you see this show when it visits a town near you. I cannot wait to check out more of the Disney On Ice shows with the girls. It was truly like we were visiting the Walt Disney Castle and experiencing the magic right in front of us. Visit Their Website to learn more about their shows and when one will be coming to a city near you.
