Who is Zulka?
More than 100 years ago, the Zulka mills were built among the lush sugar fields of Mexico, in a tropical area ideal for sugar cane farming. To this day, we are a family-run company, continually investing and modernizing so that these same facilities can process over 6 million tons of fresh-cut sugarcane each year.
All of the sugar cane we use comes from small family farms, owned by hard-working people who are dedicated to producing top quality cane. We are proud of our workers, partners, and product, and look forward to sharing these with you for many years to come.
Zulka Pure Cane Sugar is a line of unrefined, Non-GMO Project verified sugars!

Zulka sent me and my family a fun kit to make sugar candy skulls
My Kit Included:
One 4lb. bag of Zulka Morena sugar
Zulka Sugar Skull Process Shots-1065Traditional sugar skull mold
One 4 oz. Jar of Meringue powder
Sugar skull recipe and instructions.
The kids had a great time creating their skulls and decorating them! Although they did make a mess I found making them outside solved a lot of cleaning up problems. The process on how to make them were clearly written out in a attached document in our kit. It was easy to follow and left us for the most part open to do as we please once the skulls were formed. This is a great activity for families to do for the holidays, you can visit Zulka online or in your local store to purchase their sugar.
Aside from the candy skulls the sugar was delicious! There wasn’t a chalky after taste or stale taste you get from other sugars (which always worries me when I put it in my coffee). It mixed well in my coffee and never clumped. I would highly recommend this sugar for any family looking to sweeten up their meals or beverages, OR use to decorate some awesome candy skulls!
