Back To School Name Bracelets and Box Tops!
It’s that time of the year when the days become shorter, the nights are longer. The leaves in the trees are starting to fade and change colors. That’s right mom you guess it correctly, it’s time for the kids to go back to school! The excitement built up to that first day is amazing, its nostalgic and definitely a time of reflection from the previous year. My kid are moving to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade this year (wipes away a few tears) this proud momma is so excited for her kids I can’t wait to take the first day of school photos!
Most families at this time of the year have already taken their first day of school photos, but in our county, we start school a little later than most. To help my kids start school on the right foot I had to make sure the had the appropriate snacks, after school treats and of course the most important meal of the day breakfast foods. I took a trip to my local Sam’s Club and poked around for a bit, I’m one of those “I hit every aisle” people so I made sure to check out all the deals and products being offered.
The first thing I saw as I walked in was a sign saying that Sam’s Club was offering 100 EBox Tops when you purchase 3 Participating Items between 8/16 – 11/16. Luckily there were more than three products on their list that I wanted to purchase. I found my kids favorite morning cereal first, they love this cereal and eat it so quickly. I love getting the big family size boxes since those last longer in my home.
I found the kids after school snack in the freezer aisle, Pepperoni Tostino’s Pizza Rolls. These are my go to for the kid’s afterschool snack, they are so easy to make and can cook while the kids are starting on their homework. They are ready in minutes so the kids can nibble on them as they finish up that Math homework, or the practice spelling test.
I’m not sure about your school but my kid’s school allows the kids to bring snacks for during the day. In between breakfast and lunch, the kids are allowed to have a quick snack to keep their energy up. Mott’s Medleys are my kind of perfect gummy snack for the kids. They get that fruity gummy they love, but I get to have satisfaction knowing that it’s actually good for them! What more can a mom ask for? After another hour or two of food shopping (some aisle browsing) we left the store and lugged our huge haul into our home.
Now that we have the necessary snacks and goodies to get the kids prepared for school we now move on to our favorite part of going back to school. Making name bracelets! Sometimes we make necklaces and other times we make bracelets. This year we made bracelets out of beads we had from a kit the girls love to play with. You can go anywhere to get letter beads and add different charms to make them unique for your children.
My rising 2nd grader loves making bracelets, so her’s is totally decked out with charms and sparkles. The boy’s on the other hand, liked keeping their simple and to the point. We make our name bracelets or necklaces each year to help other kids in their class learn their names. It’s also a great way to break the ice when they are meeting new people, explaining what their name is and how they spell it is always a fun way for my rising 3rd grader to spark a conversation.
Make sure you checkout those participating products the next time you visit your local Sam’s Club. Every Boxtop makes a difference, it could mean new instruments for music class, or even a greenhouse garden for your little ones to grow their own vegetables and fruits, the possibilities are endless!
When is the last time you visited your local Sam’s Club? Do you do something special with your kids to help break the ice on the first day of school? Let us know below!

We save all of our box tops for the school. They make tons of money every year by sending them in.

We save box tops. I actually homeschool but the local homeschool alliance uses them. As a family we get half of what they are worth. It adds up. I love when it’s back to school time and the boxes have 4++

So cute! I wish I can have one bracelet for me! Although I homeschool but I like the back to school moment, where we can shop for stationary.

The Box Tops program is a wonderful system. I love how it helps so many schools. I homeschool my kids, but I still send these off to friends who can use them for their schools.

Those bracelets are adorable! I think box tops are really important and it helps support your local school. It’s nice to be able to help without having to do so much but buy products that you use at home.

I love the name bracelets. My only concern would be that it can give strangers a familiarity. I guess as long as kinds are aware then it’s fine to wear identifying accessories. I love the colors of the bracelets!
