Many of those who have known me for some odd year’s have come to find out my dirty little secret. My dirty little secret is that I am one of the worst morning people you could ever meet. Does that stop me from waking up at the crack of who know’s what to get the kids ready for school and to then turn around and either get to work on my blog or take a ride to my part time day job.
The answer is no it doesn’t, but do morning’s and me really go together? An honest answer, sometimes. I’m definitely a morning cup of coffee type of person who needs small devices to hold my eyelids open until the coffee actually kicks in. A hack that I have learned throughout the years is that breakfast is the most important meal of the day (I know mom you told me that since I was 5).
The hack wasn’t just eating a balanced breakfast, it’s eating the right snacks to help you power through your day and make it to the next meal. As a mom of four, I tend to lean towards the wrong foods at times and those don’t help at all with my energy level. Let’s face it being a single mom and keeping up with 4 kids is it’s own type of energy level. One minute we are doing Just Dance 2017 and the next minute we are having a competition to see who can jump and touch the door frame.
Don’t say you haven’t ever done that before, I think all of us have done it before and possibly busted our hind parts in the process. We kept going of course because we wanted to be able to say we touched it! Since snacks are an important part of this mom’s day I like to adventure around and try new things to keep my energy level up. - 1 Large Fuji Apple (choose an apple you like)
- Peanut Butter
- BelVita Blueberry
- Empty one pack of the BelVita Blueberry flavored Biscuits into a zip lock bag. Crush the biscuits into the desired consistency, I like mine to have semi large bits. Set aside.
- Wash and cut the apple's into desired slices, cut a groove into the apple for the peanut butter to go.
- Spoon the peanut butter into the grooves and sprinkle the crushed BelVita Blueberry Biscuits on top. Individually wrap the apple slice or insert them into a plastic bag and store in fridge.
