Through the years I have seen many commercials in between my favorite cartoons and TV Shows. Of the many commercials, I remember seeing the Goldfish Tales in their Stop Motion films. My family has watched these loveable snacks that smile back go on some fun adventures through the years. Esuun loves to watch one her favorite snacks go on fun adventures like playing in the snow around Christmas time.
Every morning after breakfast, the big kids begin to get ready for school by packing their snacks and double-checking that their homework is packed. The big kids get on the school bus and little Esuun and I wave goodbye and wish them a wonderful day. For about 8 hours a day, little Esuun is home with me and we spend our day’s either goofing around or doing one of our many daily errands.
If I’m not parked in front of my laptop getting blog work done you can find me playing hide and seek with Esuun around the house. Sometimes she cheats by peeking through her little hands and fingers to see where I hide. I totally caught her doing it a few times but alas we still play until lunch or snack time.
Recently we heard about the new GoldFish Tales which can be found on GodfishSmiles.com. Esuun was very excited to see one of her favorite snacks in cute little movies and photos. The photos and videos got her very excited and inspired her to make a video of her own. I mean, how often do we get to play with our food and our moms help us record it? This seemed like a fabulous way to spend the time during the day when the big kids were away at school.
Esuun had a great time coming up with the theme of her video, which was a memory from a past summer when we went fishing and made Smores over a campfire. The only difference between her video and real life is that we didn’t go home smelling like fish. Her only wish for her video is that she could have added the fun little conversations she had planned for the little fishies.
Of course, some of the Goldfish crackers we cast for this production didn’t make it to the main stage. I didn’t mind that she snacked on her Goldfish crackers in between takes since they are always baked with Real Cheddar Cheese. There are No Artificial Flavors or Preservatives which makes this health cautious mom super happy. It’s also a snack you can feel good about serving your kids because the colors are sourced from plants. This snack gets two thumbs up from this mom.
With every great idea comes a well thought out plan to execute it. When you’re working with a 4-year-old your best friend is going to be visuals and checklists. I have provided a quick tip checklist for your family to use when creating your Goldfish Tales.
1. Write your idea down.
2. Draw A Story Board of each scene.
3. Get your props ready and practice.
4. Grab the right app’s to make this process easier.
5. Don’t eat the whole “cast” of this film.
6. Have Fun!
Download the iStopmotion app, Stop Motion Studio, and the Framographer to help bring your idea’s to life.
If Esuun’s fun Goldfish Tale inspires you, grab your Goldfish crackers from the snack cabinet and make a fun stop motion video with your little ones. Learn more about how you can create your own stop-motion video using Goldfish crackers with your kids on their We <3 Goldfish Tales Website.
