Big Daddy’s Pizzeria Review | Pigeon Forge, TN
My family recently went on a 5-day adventure to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for our Spring Break Vacation. It was a whirlwind of fun and just what we needed as a family. While in town, we stopped at one of the highly rated pizzeria’s in town, Big Daddy’s Pizzeria.

Big Daddy’s Pizzeria has a few locations in town, however, we did visit one of the locations in town TWICE during our visit. Yeah, that pizza was so good I had to go back and grab a few more slices before we headed back home. One of the things I love about this Pizzeria is that the dough is always made fresh and never frozen. In fact, there is no freezer in the entire joint, one of the staff members and I got to talking and I found out they also cut their toppings fresh every morning.
About Big Daddy’s Pizzeria
This is not your average pizza pie! At the heart of Big Daddy’s is a 550 degree, wood-fired flame inside of a one-of-a-kind brick oven. Our pizza starts with handcrafted, homemade dough that is pulled by our own “pizzeoli”. It is then topped with one of our homemade sauces and fresh ingredients. We’re so committed to that freshness that there isn’t a freezer on the premises. The end product pays homage to the pizza’s classic Neapolitan roots with a deliciously, crispy crust.

The proof is in the pudding people, or in this case the pizza! The salad I ordered on my first visit was what you would expect but I really did enjoy the honey mustard dressing. On certain days they have a very nice guy who walks around making balloon animals for all of the kids. In my case kids and teens, my boys were very excited to learn they could also pick an animal even though they weren’t little anymore.
This talented guy can make anything you request and doesn’t actually have to look down to see what he’s doing. As one of my kids pointed out, he never took his eyes off of me while we talked shop about my home state Virginia and random other things. There is also an arcade area you can let the kids loose in while you get a few moments of peace, we all know that’s a lifesaver sometimes when you’re on vacation.
I don’t think I will ever be able to match the quality of flavor Big Daddy’s Pizzeria has. It is definitely unique and something you have to go directly there to experience. As many of us know pizza is pretty much everywhere you go and there are so many different styles. Big Daddy’s pizza is similar to a New York slice as it is a thin crust pizza.
Don’t let that thin crust fool you, this pie is packed with flavor and worth every penny. It will fill you up fast so order extra pizza’s only after you at least 3/4 done with your previous one. Big Daddy’s offer an array of pizzas including some southern style flavors anyone can enjoy. My favorite has to be the classic cheese pizza that I know some of you are thinking “That’s Basic!” Technically when something basic is done right it’s special.
Arcade
If you are like many parents on vacation, sometimes you just need a quick break from the kids to collect yourself. The arcade in Big Daddy’s Pizzeria will do just that for you. This arcade is packed with all the classic arcade games and a few new ones my kids have never seen before. I did let me kids run and check it out, but sadly we were all so tired from our adventures during the day they didn’t get to play.
I hope this review encourages you to try Big Daddy’s Pizzeria while in town at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed! Also if you do have any issues the staff is extremely warm and welcoming, they are always ready to talk shop or help you with your order.
