DIY Ornament Hero 1

Whenever I look back on a memory in my childhood, most of the settings in my stories take place in a daycare I grew up in. I actually met my best friend Danielle there when we were still in diapers, so you could safely say at this moment me and her have known each other for 25 years. That’s a long time with a lot of laughs and tears. I remember how me and her would have to go to the daycare every day no matter if it was winter break or the long hot summers. To pass our time in the winter break leading up to Christmas day, her and I would make these cute ornaments with the Popsicle sticks and yarn.

DIY Ornament Hero 2

There seemed to be an unending supply of these two things in our daycare, so we ended up making all types of different colors and styles. I wont lie, we used to make these during summer break but use more spring and summer color tones of yarn. We even experimented with different combinations of Popsicle sticks and different wrapping techniques. This one technique was always my favorite since it was so easy to do and seemed to always come out right. Now that my kids are old enough, I passed down this cute DIY craft to them, and then now to you all. I hope you all have as much as we did and are able to share your crafts with your loved ones.

The Supplies you will need:

DIY Ornament Step 1

Here is a quick step by step tutorial of how to make the ornament. It doesn’t need any glue or tape, just your lovely fingers a little bit of creativity. You can switch and add different colors as you go, or keep one color throughout the ornament. The choice is up to you and your little ornament makers.
