Watermelon Kiwi Infused Water
My family loves watermelon! Whenever it gets warm the kids know that it’s watermelon picking time at the store. I don’t hear the end of it during the winter when there are rarely any watermelons available. All I hear is “I can’t wait till summer time, there will be watermelons everywhere!” They always talk about how “tasty” they are and how they love how the fridge is always full of them.
We haven’t perfected the whole picking the perfect watermelon out yet but whenever we do get lucky and pick the perfect one we tend to get carried away with eating it before the day is over. The same can be said for kiwi.
It is only the beginning of summer and the days are already longer and hotter! When it gets hot the kids need to refuel with good for you drinks. I have come up with a delicious way to eat and drink their fruits, not that they really need help doing it I just love being creative with these types of things.
To mix up the usual infused water recipe, I used Coconut Water instead. It gave the drink such an amazing boost of flavor, yet providing that much-needed H2O hydration. This was so fun to drink and so fun to eat, it was a hit with my family. If you or your family are fruit lovers this Watermelon Kiwi Infused Water is for you! - Coconut water
- Mason Jar or Large Cup
- At the bottom of the mason jar or cup, layer the kiwi around the rim. Take a generous amount of ice cubes and fill in the middle and a nice layer after the kiwi.
- Cut the watermelons into eatable chunks and then layer them in last. Pour in the coconut water and then serve with a straw and fork!
