Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

This year was the very first year my family had the opportunity to experience Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about their Christmas Town for a few years now from friends and family. After finally have experienced Christmas Town at Busch Gardens I can now testify with my own memories and stories how magical this celebration is.

Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

It’s been said I am a hard woman to impress when it comes to many things, hands down Christmas Town at Busch Gardens blew me away. This year is the park’s first year of hosting over 8 million lights, it was the perfect way to celebrate my family’s first visit during this time of the year.

I have been to Busch Gardens Williamsburg during the spring and summer since I was a young girl. There is something magical about visiting this park at this time of the year that was simply something you have to see in person.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg Christmas Town

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is known for their many shows they host throughout the park. I have many wonderful memories of the Irish dancers my family used to watch when we ate dinner together in the park.

Now that I have my kids when I visit the park I like to take them around and watch the many complimentary shows Busch Gardens hosts. This year they have some wonderful seasonal shows such as a full-scale ice show, ‘Twas That Night. Check out the list below and make sure to plan out your visit to be able to see at least one of them during your visit.

Dancing Light Show at O’ Tannenbaum

There is never a dull moment in Christmas Town. Catch the dancing light show O’ Tannenbaum located just outside of Das Festhaus®. Snag an awesome photo op with the Red-Nosed Reindeer himself Rudolf in Rudolfs Winter Wonderland.

Enjoy the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer like never before as it comes to life in an all-new, immersive movie experience. Take a ride on the train during the day and as the sun sets to have a unique view of the 8 million lights strung throughout the park.

Meet Santa

Let’s not forget the big man himself Santa which you can find in his workshop. I hope you were good all year round because this is the chance to tell him what’s on the top of your Christmas Wish List.

Although my kids were reluctant to talk to Santa, possibly because they fear they are on his naughty list. I was able to snag a few independent photos of them telling him what their top pick was on their wish list this year.

Christmas Town

I loved walking through the park seeing all of the different light displays, Busch Gardens Williamsburg is known for their awesome Water Rides. During the winter they transformed Italy’s Escape from Pompeii® into the Polar Pathways.

The smell of Christmas trees coupled with the dazzling light display of Polar Pathway will make you feel as if Christmas is here. Featuring a cascading icy wonderland that shimmers in the moonlight and fun polar bears you can catch a selfie with.

Among the many things to do in the park don’t forget to stop at the Cookies and Cocoa Shop. Dine in on some delicious cookies or take them to go with you as you walk around the park. My kids had a wonderful time sitting in the shop drinking the delicious hot cocoa and feasting on their cookies.

Overall my family and I had an amazing time during Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We are excited to hopefully go back this year again or catch it again next year. I highly recommend you bring your family and snag tons of photos for your potential Christmas Card this year.
